THE REINVENTION OF GARBAGE
DESCARTE is a documentary by Leonardo Brant about the social drama of garbage, presented based on inspiring stories from artists, designers, artisans and activists who creatively and sensitively reuse objects.
With the technology available in the world today, it is already possible to live without generating waste. DESCARTE is a call for this cultural change. It encompasses educational action and a series of contents created to stimulate the search for more sustainable paths for the planet's solid waste.
This page brings together and organizes all this content and invites you to rethink, refuse, reuse and recycle, sharing practical ideas on how to transform the culture of garbage .
Awarded as best documentary at the Forum Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain, DESCARTE is a production of Deusdará Filmes sponsored by Atacadão through the Culture Incentive Law.
EXPANDED DOCUMENTARY
C onteúdos beyond the film and seeking a broader dialogue and at the same time, further, on the issue of waste. There are seven conversations that we consider essential to understand the different dimensions of garbage in your life, from the most problematic to the most liberating.
Each theme is an invitation to debate, which can be done from your digital channels, from a family lunch, at school or at the bar table.
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
DESCARTE was born as an educational action, with the objective of problematizing, raising awareness and promoting dialogue about solid waste in Brazil, in search of behavioral change in relation to the individual and collective management of solid waste.
WHERE DOES YOUR GARBAGE GO? is the film's notebook, created in partnership with educators and specialists in solid waste. It seeks to organize and encourage educational practices aimed at reducing inappropriate waste disposal in classrooms, organizations, families, groups and organized communities.
